Zach Wadley is in his second year at Marian as sports information director after joining the Knights in August 2016. 

In September 2017, Wadley coordinated the live stream of USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals, which were held on the campus of Marian University. Working with MTC Sports, the stream was available on the final day of the event and garnered over 1,000 views.

During Wadley's first season, Marian saw growth across all socia media platforms, including over 1,000 new Twitter followers. The Twitter account made 8.3 million impressions over the course of the 2016-17 season, which was the highest total for any season at Marian. Wadley and his staff published 686 stories on MUKnights.com and published 209 videos. 

During the 2016-17 season, Marian was featured in the Indy Star, WTHR, RTV6, FOX 59, CBS 4 and WISH-TV, while ESPN produced a Sportscenter feature on football standout Krishawn Hogan and various other national media outlets used Marian sports information footage on highlight packages of Hogan during the buildup to the NFL Draft.

At the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, Wadley attended the annual CoSIDA Convention in Orlando, Florida, where he served as a panelist on a roundtable discussion about live streaming events.

A 2014 graduate of Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, Wadley spent three years as a student assistant in the AU sports information office. While at Anderson, he provided play-by-play and color commentary for seven different sports, and assisted on postgame releases, stats and public address announcing. Wadley also served three years as the sports editor of Anderson’s student newspaper, The Andersonian, and covered all 15 intercollegiate sports at AU.

Upon graduation from Anderson, the Bourbonnais, Illinois, native was hired as a graduate assistant in the Illinois State athletics communications office. Wadley obtained his Master’s degree in sport management while serving as the primary media contact for women’s soccer and softball. Wadley served as the play-by- play commentator, produced weekly game notes and preseason media guides and maintained the ISU athletics website, GoRedbirds.com.

Wadley has also worked with the Big Ten Conference during the men’s basketball tournament in Indianapolis and the NCAA during the men’s basketball Midwest Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Wadley and his wife, Natalie, reside in Fishers.
